James “Butch” Ray
President
Mr. Ray is experienced in the operations of Stella Maris from both a managerial and technical standpoint. Prior to leading our company, Mr. Ray honed his skills in all aspects of the industry, serving, over his professional career, as technician, project manager and vice president of various other companies. Today, he uses his technical knowhow, team-building, organization and customer relation skills to lead Stella Maris’ multi-disciplined staff.
Paul Stutes, P.E.
Vice President
Mr. Stutes is experienced in the design and installation of subsea well hydraulic power units and chemical injection systems, as well as both PLC-based and pneumatic safety and control systems for offshore production facilities. He earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1993, and demonstrated educational excellence in Mechanical Engineering Design. In addition, Mr. Stutes earned his Professional Engineering (P.E.) certification in 2009. Today, he uses his managerial and technical experience to lead Stella Maris in the realization of equipment for the oil and gas Industry.

Stella Maris recently relocated to newly built headquarters, marking a major expansion of its manufacturing facility in Lafayette, Louisiana. The new expanded facility has tripled our footprint to a total of 22,000 square feet.
